We're bringing PB to the people and need your help to make the process exciting and easy to understand. Community Connector Mini-Grants offer resources to reach residents, especially Black, Indigenous, People of Color, immigrant and refugee residents, youth, and those with disabilities.
Community Connector Mini-Grants will be given out in two ways:
To support individuals and small informal groups like a couple of friends or neighbors
To support more formal groups like non-profits, grassroots organizations, and community groups.
how do the community connector mini-grants work?
individuals and small, informal groups
Individuals and small informal groups can apply to receive up to $1,000 for their time and for materials used for outreach events or activities.
Individual and small group mini-grants will help with outreach at key points in the process or to reach specific groups of residents.
Individual and small group mini-grants will be given out on a rolling basis.
non-profits, grassroot organizations, and community groups
Organizations that receive mini-grants will work with the city over the next several months and will help with outreach during all phases of the Denver PB program.
Applications for organization mini-grants closed on Dec. 31, 2021.
What would i do with a community connector mini-grant?
spread the word and get people exicited about denver pb. things like:
Share information or support language interpretation to explain the PB process to neighbors, family, and local businesses.
Recruit your community to volunteer for important positions like budget delegates.
Work with schools, community centers, or clubs to teach people about city budgeting.
Encourage your networks to submit project ideas or vote on proposals.
Any other creative ideas to get people excited and involved in Denver PB!
bring denver pb to the people and meet community members where they are. things like:
Host Denver PB 101 info sessions or webinars.
Organize idea collection events in trusted community spots like churches, the local barber shop, apartment buildings.
Arrange neighborhood walks or site-visits with residents and city staff to explore possible project areas.
Sponsor voting parties to encourage residents to select their top proposals.
Any other creative ideas to get people excited and involved in Denver PB!
